REVISION

© chemicalbook.com
Sometimes, a girl needs some relief from the oppressiveness that are secondary metabolites of the mevalonate and shikimic pathways or those pesky pyrimidine nucleotides, hence the previous set of photos. But enough procrastinating, back to the revision and let me share (briefly, because it's boring) two new friends of mine: tiglic and angelic acids, cis-trans isomers of each other, monocarboxylic and highly aromatic .. hmm, are you asleep yet?

TINY GOATS

Hmm, I see that my blog-mocking friend still lacks some motivation, so I'm going to attempt to stir them with a mention + photos of something dear to their heart. Three of the very cute little things above have recently been acquired and a very pleasant afternoon was spent in the sunshine with them, and they didn't even eat our clothes (although admittedly they can be seen trying to eat the camera above). I even managed to come home with some very valuable herbs for the garden (or weeds as some people would call them) but that's a story for another day. As is the beautiful white beehive-mithering saga. Oh, and the tale of the fabulous French doors ..

LE SHOPPING

The lovely weather of last week was ever present on the north coast of France last week-end which was great because it made shopping even more enjoyable. There is something about faire-ing des courses in France that brings out the serious shopper in me. I can, and did, spend literally hours in the hypermarché; I have to, and did, look at everything, and I mean everything, from things I would never ever consider buying, like cow's tongues, to the things I would, and did, buy, like the supermassive fruit and vegetables. I am still 'enjoying' the biggest crate of strawberries, although I still thank goodness for freezers.

A NEW LEAF

Among the many and varied topics covered recently with one of my favourite people (and they ranged far and wide over: tiny goats, beehives, crocheted items, French and kissing (all completely unrelated, of course)), the following words, with specific reference to me, were brought into the conversation: 'pot', 'kettle', 'stones' and 'glasshouses'. Now, I realise that blog and I have been rather M-I-A these past few months but could that be because my life over here is just not as exciting as it was in Paris? Or maybe my life is actually more exciting over here and I just don't have time to blog about it anymore? Anyway, whatever the reason, never let it be said that I am not one not to rise to a challenge, the gauntlet has been thrown down and the response starts here! Blog and I are back! Oh, and we expect action from the gauntlet-thrower!

YOGA - V

© yj
Oops, where did April go? It's May already and Mauro's birthday - 30 today and looking good! - and blog and I do solemnly swear not to abandon you for a whole month again ..

Anyway, another month, another yoga asana. This one's good for respiratory ailments, mild backache and fatigue. It stretches the entire front of the body, strengthens back muscles and improves posture. I love this pose!
